Jason Mayo lives in New York with his wife and two daughters. He got sober in March 2010. He is a certified recovery peer advocate at a not-for-profit community center on Long Island. He does outreach and helps organize free sober events for people with substance use disorders and their families.

Before working in recovery, Jason was an award-winning owner and operator of several visual effects and animation companies in NYC. He has been a contributing writer for the Forbes Business Council, creator and writer of the popular Dad blog Out-Numbered, and author of the children’s books, “Do Witches Make Fishes?” and “The Boy and the Billy Goat.”

In his spare time, his alter ego, DoeSlayer, streams on Twitch. With a community of over 6,000 followers, he is a partnered streamer and an official content creator for Expansive Worlds and Ubisoft.
