PALE ALE
This classic English style is the birthing parent of the IPA. Balanced well but full of flavor and typical copper color, the Pale Ale is a classic brew for true beer drinkers. As with most styles, there has been some adaptation between countries, and you must know that before diving in. While the classic hop-forward, malty-finished English Pale is the starting point, the American Pale Ale has added some more piney citrus flavors with their hop selection, making it slightly milder. I prefer a classic English Pale Ale but to each their own.
