In Their Own Sober Words

"Finding a community where I can share myself and my stories, as well as network with likeminded people and build a brand has been rewarding in ways I can't even describe."
“We live in a world driven by messages from a sh*t ton of media coming at us from every direction. I want sober and sober curious folks to have accessible content that is relevant, creative and humorous. When it comes to fashion, I know that every day every human puts clothes on their body. Why not showcase our style as a reflection of who we are both inside and out? What we wear says so much about who we are. Let’s walk the talk!”
"I love being a part of the Sober Curator team! I feel supported in my creative endeavors and the sense of community is unparalleled!"
"I am a therapist because there is nothing else in the world I would rather do than help people create love, peace, and joy in their lives and with their lives. Being part of a community space like The Sober Curator excites me because the need for resources for those that have chosen this lifestyle in recovery is so needed. Sobriety is not boring."
"Being a Sober Curator is cool because it gives me the opportunity to share with others how I have grown, the gifts I have discovered, and make new friendships."
"I love being a Sober Curator! Being a Sober Curator automatically plugged me into an awesome community of like-minded individuals with whom I can connect and feel supported in my recovery without question! It's RAD."
"My Sober Curator involvement is one of my favorite things about my new & purposeful life in recovery! I’m so grateful for you and the opportunity you gave me."
"I became a Sober Curator almost two years ago and love the community. Alysse is fun to work with, easygoing, and also really knows a lot about media, social media, and blogging. I personally love the accountability to keep up my writing. I enjoy our monthly meetups and one-off events where we collectively review a new movie or book that speaks on themes of sobriety, recovery and/or mental health issues. I have made several good friends in the community and collaborated with many more professionally. It is great to feel supported in this way in the online space! Plus, Alysse is open-minded to new ways of creating content and how you might want to contribute to raising the sober vibe as a Sober Curator. So grateful to Alysse and the entire community!"
"As a Sober Curator, I feel lucky to have greater reach, genuine connection, effective collaboration, and unimaginable networking opportunities…none of which were possible on my own. Being a sober curator has shown me that we are better and stronger together!"
“I have known Alysse from The Sober Curator for just a few months, and all I have to say is she is the BOMB! I just became part of the team…she is brilliant, innovative, a cooperative collaborator, full of joy and enthusiasm, as well as her beyond masterful skills in media production! This girl is going places, people! It’s rare that you meet such a dynamic, delightful, and talented human being who is also just a compassionate, kind human. This magazine has just begun and with Alysse at the helm, there is no limit to the impact it will have in the world of recovery.”
