Kindred Spirits in downtown Richland, Washington, is more than a nonalcoholic bar and bottle shop. Founded by Marlys and Chuck Aspinwall after reassessing their relationship with alcohol, the Tri-Cities shop now offers NA spirits, wines, botanicals, sober events, book clubs, paint-and-sip nights, and a welcoming space for alcohol-free community.

I’m a carpenter by trade and I drank alcoholically for 27 years. Obviously, it started to affect my job. I wasn’t getting projects done on time, I was missing work, calling out sick, and making lots of excuses. After getting sober, I reestablished the pride I have in my craft.
