The Alignment: When Your Energy Feels a Little Crooked

Be honest… does your energy feel a little crooked right now?

If so, you’re in the right place. I’m The Card Divo, and welcome to The Alignment, a space to pause, breathe, and reconnect with yourself.

The word chakra comes from Sanskrit, meaning “wheel.” Seven wheels of energy, each one spinning with its own purpose, guiding how you move, feel, and connect. Chakras are the energy centers of the body, seven spinning points that act like the Wi-Fi routers of your spirit. They are where your physical body and emotional world meet. They hold your stories, your patterns, your fears, your power, and your potential, like seven chapters of your inner book.

Each chakra carries a theme that shows up in your everyday life. Root for safety. Sacral for creativity. Solar plexus for confidence. Heart for love. Throat for truth. Third eye for intuition. Crown for purpose. When these centers are open and balanced, energy flows. You feel grounded, creative, confident, and connected. Your decisions land with clarity. Your body feels supported.

But when a chakra is blocked or overwhelmed, the flow shifts. You might feel anxious, disconnected, tired, or out of sync. Your body reacts. Your emotions speak louder. Your intuition gets fuzzy. This is not failure. It is information. Your energy is simply asking for attention.

Chakras are not about perfection. They are about alignment. Listening to your energy. Adjusting your flow. Returning to yourself with intention and awareness. And for many people in recovery, this work becomes a companion practice. It offers a way to understand emotional shifts, rebuild trust with the body, and create grounding rituals that support sobriety. The Alignment does not replace recovery. It supports it. It gives language to the inner world, tools for self-awareness, and a gentle path back to center when life gets loud.

This is only the beginning. In the next posts, we will explore each chakra one by one, what it means, how it feels, and how to realign it in your daily life. If you are ready to feel clearer, lighter, and grounded in your own power, follow along and stay connected. Your alignment journey is unfolding, and I will guide you through every step.

Seven centers. Seven stories. One system guiding you back home.

That’s The Alignment.

What are chakras?

Chakras are energy centers in the body that influence how you feel, think, and connect. There are seven main chakras, each tied to a different aspect of physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

What does it mean when your energy feels “off”?

When your energy feels off, it may signal that one or more chakras are blocked or imbalanced. This can show up as stress, fatigue, anxiety, or feeling disconnected from yourself.

How do chakras affect your emotions?

Each chakra is connected to specific emotional themes—like safety, confidence, love, and communication. When a chakra is out of balance, those emotions can feel heightened or harder to manage.

What are the seven chakras and what do they represent?

The seven chakras are:

  • Root: safety and stability
  • Sacral: creativity and pleasure
  • Solar Plexus: confidence and power
  • Heart: love and connection
  • Throat: communication and truth
  • Third Eye: intuition and insight
  • Crown: purpose and spiritual connection

How do you know if your chakras are blocked?

Blocked chakras can show up as emotional imbalance, lack of clarity, low energy, or physical tension. These signals are your body’s way of asking for attention and realignment.

How can you start balancing your chakras?

You can begin by practicing mindfulness, breathwork, meditation, journaling, or other grounding rituals that help you reconnect with your body and emotions.

Can chakra work support sobriety and recovery?

Yes. Chakra alignment can support recovery by helping you better understand emotional patterns, regulate your energy, and build self-awareness. It complements—but does not replace—recovery practices.

Is chakra alignment a spiritual or scientific practice?

Chakra work comes from ancient spiritual traditions and is often used as a mindfulness and self-awareness tool. While not scientifically proven, many people find it helpful for emotional balance and personal growth.
