Will Sober TikTok rival Sober Instagram? TikTok is one of the most popular social media platforms right now. It has an astounding growth rate with 500 million monthly active users. Many people claim that you need one viral video to become famous on TikTok. Mmmm, we’re not so sure about that. What we do know is that it’s easy to slide down the oh-so-addictive TikTok rabbit hole and get lost in short videos of dances, duets, dogs in clothes, alcohol-free recipes, how-to videos, and more.
PLEASE NOTE: When this article was originally published in December 2020, it featured 29 Sober/Recovery TikTok Creators. We recently went through (April 2025) to see who was still creating on TikTok. The list is now reduced to 17 Sober/Recovery TikTok Creators, which is 60% of the original list. We point this out to honor and celebrate the 17 who are still sober (as far as we can tell) and continue to create for the community. We also want to point out that 40% are no longer on TikTok, no longer creating, or no longer sober. Anyone can get sober, staying sober is the real challenge. This is why our tagline is: Getting sober matters. Staying sober matters more.
We did the TikTok #hashtag homework for you!
Here is a current list of the top trending #hashtags to find sober community accounts on TikTok. And, should you decide to start up an account, these would be good #hashtags to use when you post. Recovery Warriors are rising on social media platforms worldwide, and we’re here for it. When we recover out loud, others do not have to die silently.

Top 29 Sober TikTok Accounts to follow right now (in no particular order)
#1.) @tjollett
Ok, ok, I know we said in no particular order, but @tjollett is one of our favs. He’s a sober father and business owner, and he’s been to hell and back. He knows how to keep it real, and nearly 25K other followers think so too. We can’t get enough of this daddy-daughter duo.
#2.) @alliek.campbell
We were already very familiar with Allie before finding her on TikTok. She is a queer, sober, neurodivergent, cat mom. You can find her in lots of places by using her Linktree page. We’re here for her hair changes, humor, and the way she tells it like it is. Virtual fistbump, girl! (Don’t worry. We just washed our hands.)
#3.) @angelaaholic
This vibrant sober redhead has no problem recovering out loud or having a good laugh at her own expense. She’s a mom and mental health advocate. Check her out HERE for ways to connect with her.

#8.) @asobergirlsguide
We are BIG fans of A Sober Girls Guide! We love her merchandise, her podcast, her book, and we love her! Seriously, we fangirl her all of the time.
Throwback to that time we covered one of her podcast episodes here and here. And did we mention we love her merch? You’re almost halfway through this post. If you need to take a break to #ADDTOCART, we understand. Go ahead. We’ll wait right here.
#ADDTOCART A SOBER GIRLS GUIDE
#9.) @soberisdope
We met Pop Buchanan on a recovery social media platform called YANA, which stands for “You Are Not Alone.” Want to learn more? Check our review here on YANA.
Pop has a solid podcast worth checking out, called, you guessed it, Sober Is Dope! Not only that, but Pop has some of the coolest sober merch we’ve seen on the market so far. Because I’m obsessed with his Bomber jackets, he also made our top 12 Recovery Swag list for our 1st annual Holiday Gift Guide.
#ADDTOCART SOBER IS DOPE
