At The Sober Curator, not only do we make a mean mocktail, but we also take pride in the glassware we select. Our jam is novelty, pop-culture glassware from our childhood. (Sorry millennials, you may need to sit this one out) Sober does not mean boring and drinking zero-proof beverages don’t have to be presented in a boring way either. Breaking the rules has always been our thing.

There is an alcohol-free spirits craze on the cusp of becoming a real movement, and we are here for it. You may have noticed, if you’ve checked out our Happy Every Hour section of the site, we have a lot of fun with our glassware in addition to trying out new alcohol-free recipes. Now it’s a little harder to put together a gift guide list for glasses when the ones we love the most are usually one of a kind or very limited. (Thank you local thrift shops and eBay)

Gift Idea #1: Hand-Blown Watermelon Tumblers

Warm-weather zero-proof drinks are even more fun when they’re served up in Kimberly McKinnis’ hand-blown tumblers. Kimberly adds a band of green “rind” and dark spots that resemble seeds to every bright pink glass. To make the tumblers extra delightful, each is wide at the bottom and tapers in like a wedge of the scrumptious fruit. Give one to someone who makes a mean melon alcohol-free mo-FREE-to, or get a few for your next backyard sober brunch. Spotted on Uncommongoods, one of our fav online shops.

Gift Idea #2: drinkers from glassybaby

If you’re from Seattle then our next gift guide “guest” needs no introduction. HQ’d in the beautiful emerald city, glassybaby hand-blown glass candle holders and drinkware are crafted by local artisans to support causes of hope and healing. For every color, there is a name and a story. There are hundreds of colors, representing the values, moments, and relationships that matter. Check them out, you might just become a collector yourself.

Gift Idea #3: Modern Copper Stemless Glasses

From Amazon, these embellished stemless glasses with metallic copper-tone plating are like a party in your palm. Depending on the alcohol-free liquid you fill them with, they will surely sparkle in the light. Because sometimes you need a little extra sparkle for no reason on a Tuesday night.

Gift Idea #4: Tutti Frutti Water Glasses

Oh, Tutti Frutti! These blown glass vessels we spotted on Artful Home are a celebration of color and form. Choose the primary color (left to right): olivine, apricot, ice blue, moss, rose, cherry blossom, cornflower, pine green, royal blue, glacier, amber, or amethyst. Sold individually.

Gift Idea #5: Tropical Tiki Mugs

Also spotted on Artful Home, these tropical tiki mugs are perfect for that fun blended mocktail you want to make for a Saturday brunch.

Gift Idea #6: Vintage McDonald’s glassware collections from your childhood

Do it! You know you want to go down the eBay vintage glassware from your childhood rabbit hole looking for treasures now, right?!?!?! That ought to get you started. Sober Curator Pro Tip: Don’t forget to type in additional keywords to the pop-culture icons you remember using. These keywords could include StarWars, Care Bears, Smurfs, Flintstones, Strawberry Shortcake, Muppets, Snoopy, and so many more.

Gift Idea #7: Skull and Vine Sugar 16-ounce Frosted Tapered Cooler Glass from Fiesta

As seen on Macy’s Home, the Officially Licensed Fiesta SKULL AND VINE Sugar glass drinkware collection features a detailed, colorful skull design highlighted with a botanical vine. The print is on one side of the glass. Do you have other pieces? This will complement matching Fiesta dinnerware in the same design. And if it’s your lucky day, maybe they’re having a one-day sale. (You know because they have them seven days a week?)

Gift Idea #8: Vintage 1962′ Seattle World’s Fair Frosted Glasses

Sip from a little piece of history with these Vintage 1962 Seattle World’s Fair Frosted Glasses we’ve found on eBay. If this link sells out, have no vintage fear. There are lots of sellers on eBay currently merchandising sets from this era.

Gift Idea #9: Sphere Zero-Proof Mocktail Glass

Peep this ‘Wow-Worthy” Barware you’ll want to add to your alcohol-free spirits collection. Sphere elegance. This Sphere Zero-Proof Mocktail Glass will put the WOW factor in your zero-proof mocktail hour. Create your favorite fruit and herb-infused drink, replace the stopper, insert the glass straw and enjoy!

Gift Guide #10: Verve Zero-Proof Martini Glass

Girl, it’s okay to want still to feel fancy at the end of a long day or workweek. Sometimes, you want to kick off your slippers (because you work from home) and make yourself a complex artisan zero-proof beverage to compliment your meal. (and by “meal,” we mean charcuterie board because, let’s face it, girl, you’re sometimes lazy)

Check out these Verve Martini Glasses from Crate & Barrel. Think they might trigger you or the person you’re buying them for? Then buy something else. Being comfortable in your sobriety has nothing to do with the glass your new alcohol-free beverage of choice is in. Didn’t we already learn that if it doesn’t bring you joy, let it pass on by?

For those who are comfortable with who you are and what you choose to drink, out of whatever kind of glass you choose to drink it in, go on, girl. You’ve done the work. You’ve put in the time. We relax and take it easy, remember?

Gift Guide #11: Calder Paisley 16 oz. Acrylic Drinking Glass

This Eve Paisley 16 oz. An acrylic Drinking Glass will be an excellent addition to any dining set. Its design and color give a calming and alluring presence that helps correctly set the mood. They are stackable and BPA-free, but you are going to have to wash these babies by hand. Hey, why not take that time to meditate a little for the day? Need some ideas? The Daily Llama has many short, one-word meditations for your complete wool-being at the ready. (#seewhatwedidthere)

Gift Guide #12: Nathalie Lete Tropical Juice Glass

Spotted on Anthropologie, featuring artwork by Nathalie Lete, these glasses lend your tablescape a touch of the tropics.

About Nathalie Lete
Once a member of Mathias et Nathalie, a duo renowned for their cardboard paintings and expressionist sculptures, French art and designer Nathalie Lete now works as a solo artist creating paintings, ceramics, textiles, jewelry, books, and toys centered on themes of fantasy, humor, and childhood memories.

Are you obsessing over the Tiger or the Lemur? Because we can’t decide. You’re right. One of each. What were we thinking? #addtocart
