At The Sober Curator, we believe in building community with our readers, followers, and fans. Additionally, we strive to have and be in a regular community with our fellow Sober Curators. Did you know over 45+ active Sober Curator Contributors contribute content to this site monthly? Each Sober Curator volunteers time and creative energy to curate and create original sober content just for you! We meet monthly via Zoom to share ideas, challenges, and struggles we face as content creators navigating the world in long-term recovery.

Movie reviews aren’t new to our site. However, we realized we were all talking about movies and TV shows we’ve been watching and decided to review a movie, show, or documentary together once a month.

From Oscar-nominated visionary filmmaker Baz Luhrmann comes Warner Bros. Pictures’ drama “Elvis,” starring Austin Butler and Oscar winner Tom Hanks.

This film explores the life and music of Elvis Presley (Butler), seen through the prism of his complicated relationship with his enigmatic manager, Colonel Tom Parker (Hanks). The story delves into the complex dynamic between Presley and Parker, spanning over 20 years, from Presley’s rise to fame to his unprecedented stardom, against the backdrop of the evolving cultural landscape and loss of innocence in America. One of the most significant and influential people in Elvis’s life is central to that journey, Priscilla Presley (Olivia DeJonge).
