Meet Your Host - Amy Liz Harrison
Amy Liz Harrison is a mother of 8, bestselling author, sobriety coach, and recovery/mental health advocate with over a decade of sobriety under her belt. She made the choice to leave her position as a tenth-grade English teacher to focus on raising her eight children. Having found sobriety in 2011, she believes that the opposite of addiction is love and connection. She also believes if you don’t tell her she has lettuce in her teeth, you’re dead to her.
She is the founder and CEO of indie publishing company, A-Team Press, where she republished her memoirs, “Eternally Expecting: A Mom of Eight Gets Sober and Gives Birth to a Whole New Life…Her Own” and “Eternally Awkward: A Future Mom of Eight Reflects on Mysteries of Anxiety, ADHD, and Coming of Age in the 80’s” – both of which documents her journey with addiction and recovery and explores her late-diagnosis with ADHD and anxiety, respectively. In 2023, Amy released a children’s book series called “Kiss Your Brain” which tackles the big mental health topics her family—and all families—face, including substance abuse disorder.
Amy hosts the podcast show, Eternally Amy – A Sober Mom of Eight’s Journey from Jail to Joy where she shares experiences with addiction and recovery, spirituality and deconstruction of faith, and mental health and wellness. Find out more at amylizharrison.com.
