Atmosphere is not just a thing that’s eroding away in the sky; it’s also the name of the latest NA out of Germany and available here in the States. They are brewed in Germany and imported and distributed in New York by way of Brooklyn. Let’s dive in and see what we get from these beer masters from Germany.
Right off the bat, when you crack the can of this German Pilsner from Atmosphere Brewery, you can smell those roasted barley notes that make a German beer what it is. The brewing process comes out of the can in droves, making you want to tail-slide into a German beer hall and have a fricking party.
The taste does not disappoint either, and I find myself wondering if I am indeed drinking an NA beer for the first time in a long time. It’s that good. The classic German pilsner flavor you get in a tall boot or liter-sized mug is perfectly captured and brought to life on your tongue and plays ping pong with your tonsils, bouncing malted barley and roasted notes all the way down your gullet hole.
Untappd does not have enough ratings to announce a rating officially, but most of their reviews of this German Pilsner from Atmosphere Brewery give it a 4.5 out of 5, and honestly, I’m on board. Give me all the Atmosphere! This is a great brew and a must-have for your NA Oktoberfest celebrations!

Justin, what are your thoughts on Two Roots suddenly shutting down?
It sucks, but may be the result of an over saturated market. It’s also reminiscent of most things in this society where all the big guys (think Bud Zero, Sam Adams, Heineken, Stella, Corona, etc.) finally caught up to the trend and are taking back the market share they previously had in the macro category, but that’s capitalism in America. We’ll see how things continue to shake out. I’m really going to miss Two Roots, but as someone who communicates with a lot of breweries directly, they were a little behind on modern marketing, it felt like (i.e. brand ambassadors, social media, etc.)
