Loudermilk Season 3 Review: A Rollercoaster Ride of Emotions, Now on Netflix!

Prepare your laughter, muscles, and heartstrings for a workout because Loudermilk’s third season is here to exercise both! This captivating season is a heady combination of highs, lows, and everything in between – much like the journey of sobriety itself.

Our beloved ensemble cast, who we’ve grown to adore over the past two seasons, continues to hit their strides and deliver performances that will make you laugh, cry, and then laugh again. The ever-charismatic Ron Livingston, reprising his role as Sam Loudermilk, shines brighter than ever. He’s like a lighthouse in a stormy sea of complex emotions and messy situations. Sam’s roommate, Ben Burns, played by Will Sasso, continues to entertain us, showcasing what it’s like when two single men in recovery share an apartment.

This season delves even deeper into the serious issues of addiction and recovery. It’s like diving into the pool’s deep end, but with floaties. The show fearlessly grapples with these heavy subjects while expertly maintaining its trademark humor. It’s like juggling knives while riding a unicycle – risky but oh-so-rewarding when done right!

The plot turns unexpectedly when Papa Loudermilk’s marriage hits the rocks, and our dear Sam inherits a baby brother, Clyde. This twist makes Sam don the hat of a father figure, bringing a whole new dimension to his character. It’s like watching a grizzly bear adopt a kitten – surprising, endearing, and downright entertaining!

However, seeing Loudermilk making amends for past wrongs, a cornerstone of recovery circles, won my heart this season. By now, the Sober Friends group feels less like a cast of characters and more like a circle of buddies I’m emotionally invested in. They tackle real-life issues from dating to gambling, relapse, family drama, and disability rights. It’s like being part of a support group with more laughter and less coffee.

Loudermilk’s third season is a treasure trove of stirring performances, humorous takes on serious topics and intriguing character developments. While it might not hit the high notes of the first two seasons for some, it’s still a must-watch for fans of the series. As for me, I’m already on the edge of my seat, eagerly anticipating the rollercoaster ride that Season Four promises to be!

The Mindful Binge Sobees Score: 4.5 out of 5

Will Loudermilk Get a Season Four?

This is how you can help: Tell everyone you know to watch Seasons 1 – 3, recently released on Netflix. If we can increase the watch time, Netflix will likely green-light a fourth season.
