Learn About This Epic Collaboration Called Wandering Islands

WellBeing Brewing from St. Luis is coming up to the plate again and if their record says anything it means that disappointment has no home here. If this is your first WellBeing Brewing review, go check out the others! Their Intentional IPA and Hellraiser Dark Amber are phenomenal choices and today’s tasty treat is no exception to the rule.

This time around, WellBeing Brewing partnered with 4 Hands Brewing, Giving Kitchen, and Sean Brock to bring you this delicious and impactful brew. Each can has a QR code on the side that will link you up with Giving Kitchen, who provides restaurant workers with financial assistance and mental health resources. It’s such an epic pairing and truly has the possibility to make a real difference for a sect of workers that too many of the us take for granted, even though they are treated poorly, underpaid, and struggle to get basic needs in some situations. This epic collaboration is called Wandering Islands, and it’s a tropical IPA in one of WellBeing Brewing’s classic 16 oz Cans. The label is kick ass, and I think you’ll find the beer to be pretty rad, as well.

How Does It Pour?

When you first crack this tall boy and pour it in your glass, you’ll smell how WellBeing Brewing captured some unique tropical notes, with hints of guava and passionfruit. Most tropical IPAs lean heavy into mango and pineapple, and while those are still in the mix, the aroma is definitely more playful. With it’s light golden color and crisp white head, you may be thinking about the hops that got left behind, but wait until you taste it.

How Does It Taste?

At first sip, you can immediately get a burst of tropical fruit flavors, exotic selections from WellBeing Brewing and 4 Hands Brewing. The kicker, though, is that you also get those hops. It’s an IPA, after all. The hops stick around the sides of your tongue and setup shop while the crisp, tropical notes tickle your taste buds all the way down your gullet.

Untappd gives Wandering Islands by WellBeing Brewing a 3.3 out of 5, but I think that’s because of its style. In a category of tropical IPAs, I think this beast nears the top of the list, for sure. I, for one, am cooling on all of the flavored IPAs (even though I’ curious about spicy ones and milkshakes), but this is definitely something to keep in the rotation for the summer. Go check it out! It’s delightful!
