Spirity Cocktails is the World’s First Award Winning Non-Alcoholic Cocktail

In 2020, The World Spirits Competition awarded Spirity Cocktails the title of being “The World’s First Non-Alcoholic Cocktail” and we’re here to tell you exactly why we think they’ve earned that honor. Just in time for Valentine’s, this is a love story to be sure.

In 2018 Eric Knight, Spirity Cocktails Master Distiller, got sober. Sobriety for him was about much more than abstaining from alcohol–– it was about choosing to engage with life differently and on a new level. After several months of living alcohol-free, he realized that the absence of alcohol returned a sense of vigor into his life. He found balance and discovered a new life purpose. What’s not to love about that? See, we told you it was a love story. We love it when we hear stories of people getting sober and falling back in love with their true selves and stepping into the light to live a purpose-filled life.

Spirits distilled from tea

Throughout history, the bitter flavors of tea have been sipped on social occasions as a fashionable replacement for alcohol. Using traditional fermentation and distillation techniques, their Master Distiller has transformed this simple plant into an alcohol-free spirit worthy of a craft cocktail. You are going to want to celebrate your Sobrie-a-TEA with these alcohol free cocktails. #seewhatwedidthere

Glass. Ice. Garnish. Enjoy!

Mixed for mindful revelers like you, their non-alcoholic cocktails are crafted with Spirits Distilled from Tea for a new, complex sipping experience. Pre-mixed for your convenience (can we get an amen?), try their Signature Service suggestion to elevate your next adult social occasion for all those home zoom happy hour parties with simply a glass, ice, and garnish. Feel life. Be Spirity.

Sober Curator Pro Tip: Pop some tags with your glassware! At The Sober Curator we love sustainability and we obsess over a good deal. Hey Ladies, how many times in the last month have you bragged to a friend about a great deal you got? Yeah, we see you!

We are all about getting our thrift shopping cardio on as we #ADDTOCART in person at our fav local thrift stores. You can find some fun and funky glassware that’s perfect for your Instagram feed! No one has to know you didn’t spend very much on your eclectic glassware collection. It can be our little secret! Picture below are three great thrift store finds! (Also note the cookie jars behind them that I use for dog treats were thrift shop finds)

MINDFUL MULE

Spirity Cocktails take on this iconic cocktail accentuates the bitter notes of their Spirits Distilled from Tea with the robust and spicy aroma of fresh ginger, to tantalize your senses without the buzz. Bonus sober points! One can is only 35 calories. If ginger is your jam, then this is the “Alt-Tail” for you. (Is that a phrase that’s catching on yet? We’re not sure…)

MINDFUL MARGARITA

Spirity Cocktails version of this cocktail-hour classic balances the astringent layers of their Spirits Distilled from Tea with the sharp taste of fresh-squeezed lime, an aromatic hint of lemongrass, and the gentle sweetness of real cane sugar. Guess what? This one only has 25 calories per serving. Don’t you burn those calories scrolling through TikTok?

Sober Curator Pro Tip: Did you know the sober community is exploding on TikTok? We curated 29 sober TikTok accounts we think you might want to check out. Warning! Go in slow. The TikTok rabbit hole can be addicting. We learned to set at time an the app and once the daily limit is hit, it’s time to obsess over something else.

MINDFUL NEGRONI

Spirity Cocktails adaptation of this century-old aperitif layers the bitter taste of their Spirits Distilled from Tea with sophisticated hints of cardamom, allspice, cloves, and matured herbal botanicals. Only 30 calories with this one.

Elephants and Tea

The elephant is known to use tea gardens as social gathering places when navigating the dense forests of Asia. Once viewed as a nuisance, plantation owners are now finding new ways to accommodate these mindful creatures. Obviously we had to provide a cute baby elephant video to enjoy because content of all kinds is our jam.

You know we are a sucker for great branding and design. Spirity Cocktails checks all our zero-proof boxes with safari-chic elephant artwork and bold color scheme. Plus, the 4-packs are efficiently packed and easy to throw in a your purse and carry to any social outing you might be attending. We’re still in a global pandemic though, so wear a mask, wash your hands, and hydrate responsibly because drunk never looks good. PSA – don’t forget to recycle!

Sober Curator Pro Tip: You know what we love just as much as elephants? Llamas! Make sure to check out The Daily Llama section of the site. We bring you short one-word meditations M-F, with corresponding quotes, for your complete wool-being.

Yes, we’re still talking about elephants

Here’s some other random facts we found about about elephants that we think are just important for anyone that is practicing a consistent sober lifestyle:

  • They demonstrate concern for their families! Once we got sober, our relationships with our families got so much better.
  • They eat plants, fruit, and roots! Once you achieve a sober lifestyle, you start to realize and feel all of the health benefits that come along with it.
  • They are endangered! And so are you if you have crossed over into the disease of alcoholism. (Or Alcohol Use Disorder for those of you hip to new mental health buzz words) For many, addiction is a life and death deal. So put the plug in the jug, but still have fun with great brands like Spirity Cocktails for celebrations and social gatherings. If you are in early sobriety or easily triggered, maybe these drinks aren’t for you. Check your intentions and motives and bounce questions off your sober support group if you have concerns. You’re sober now, so listen to your intuitions and do what is right for your program.

Spirity Cocktails mindful wrap-up

There are lots of things to love about Spirity Cocktails. So far we have only taste tested the Mindful Mule. With the easy access of ordering on Amazon, be sure we will be sampling their other two flavors ASAP.

Ice ice baby! We tried it over ice and without. Our vote is to fill those ice trays and chill out. Maybe with a good movie night. You know we’ve got you covered with curated ideas in our Entertainment section. Since you’ll be shopping on Amazon, also look around at all of the cool ice cube trays that are out now. We recently curated a list of our favs in our 2020 Holiday Gift guide, which you can peep here. We love a good ice ball. Trust.

As for garnishes, they are always nice to have, but we have to be honest. We can be kinda lazy after all that work making our ice balls. But if you’ve got ’em, flaunt ’em! They do enhance your photos on the gram.
