We Sampled Kin Spritz, A Sparkling Non-Alcoholic Euphoric

Kin Spritz, the most popular product in the Kin family, is a sparkling euphoric crafted with fresh citrus, warm spice, hibiscus, and ginger. They claim that they did the work so you can focus on play. So what exactly does that mean?

Kin believes fantasy is created in the moment. They promise their products will bestow the joy you desire and the pleasure you deserve daily. Kin trusts in the power of our collective consciousness to shape the future of social connection. They call this path: euphoros.

Meaning of the word “euphoros”

New Latin, from Greek “euphoros” – A state of well being, from eu- + pherein to bear or “To bear well within”

Kin as an organization is rooted in conscious connection and made up of creators: organizers, hosts, beverage makers, and artists intent on facilitating the upward mobility and celebration of all humankind. They believe cultivating the spirit of Kin and carving diverse paths by which the global community can achieve euphoros, to be our life’s highest work.

You may be wondering….is it just a bunch of woo-woo? Their mission is to create bliss in a cup. Ok, that sounds good, but what’s in it exactly?

  • Adaptogens: work by strengthening the adrenal system and moderating stress responses. They tend to be good sources of antioxidants and anti-inflammatory agents, which helps to prevent cellular damage.
  • Nootropics: Hello brain! Nootropics are supplements that may improve cognitive function, particularly executive functions, memory, creativity, or motivation, in healthy individuals.
  • Botanics: Botanics are plants, herbs and spices valued for their medicinal or therapeutic properties. People are finding ways to utilize these plant parts to improve our health, treat symptoms, and prevent disease.

That’s the science but how does it taste?

I have to admit, it was unlike anything I had tasted before. My 24-year-old son tried it and was not a fan. Note, he also has yet to develop a sophisticated palate. For someone who usually drinks everything as fast as I can out of habit, the flavor certainly had me slow my drink roll. (*that’s a good thing)

Kin Spritz does have an advisory published on their site and we recommend you review it before placing an order. I consumed one can over the course of about an hour. Not sure what to expect, I worked and waited.

The experience was very subtle. My body felt relaxed, which is hard for someone like me to achieve even on a weekend. While I’m generally a very happy person, I did feel very creative that evening, and my spirits were indeed lifted. Again, it was very subtle and it didn’t make me want to drink another can (or four).

Nothing about it (to me) was triggering in any way nor did it make me think I needed to call my sponsor and repent or restart my day count. I didn’t feel that good people! This was my experience as a person in recovery for over 14+ years. If you are in early recovery, I encourage you to listen to your body and hydrate responsibly. I don’t usually drink energy beverages, but that’s the closest thing I could compare to drinking Kin Spritz. Bonus! There was no ‘coming’ down phase or anything like that. It really was a subtle, yet positive experience.

Chile and Pomegranate Zero-proof recipe

While this Spritz stands perfectly fine on its own, you may enjoy playing dress-up with it (especially if you don’t love the taste) Kin recommends adding a drop of Spicy Thai Chili and pressed pomegranate juice to truly transform your “go-with-the-flow” to “glow-glow-glow”.

Social Hour with Kin

Kin has two additional product lines that I have yet to try. These include The High Rhode and Dream Light.

The High Rhode claims to put the soul back in social – even with 6ft of separation. High Rhode is an herbaceous euphoric with a tart, floral finish that is meant to be mixed to please your palette. Sip for a fresh take on fun.

Dream Light claims the night belongs to those who dream. Their nightcap is an earthy, smoky, smoothly spiced euphoric. Sip to top off the night, drift to your deepest dreams, and rise ready for the day ahead.
