Sober Twin Cities Podcast Dustin Lee

Hailing from the heartland of Iowa and a proud Twin Cities resident since 2009, Dustin Lee is more than just a local musician and former radio personality—he’s a beacon of hope for those navigating early sobriety and recovery. Through his groundbreaking podcast, aptly named the Sober Twin Cities Podcast (STCP), Dustin is sharing his personal journey of overcoming addiction and creating a supportive space for others grappling with similar challenges.

“The main purpose of the STCP is to share my story in an effort to provide some insight into the various phases of recovery. From making the decision to go to treatment all the way through today and my first 14 months of sobriety. I hope that sharing my experience can help guide anyone trying to make the right decision for themselves and may have questions they are afraid to ask. I’ve decided to be completely transparent in my journey to try and cover all of the specifics that could be keeping some folks from becoming sober. If one episode helps one person, I see that as a win.” -Dustin Lee

“The core of the podcast is about real people with real stories.”

    Dustin Lee
Sober Twin Cities Podcast Dustin Lee

Dustin founded STCP in August of 2023 to be of service.

“For years, I’ve been looking for a way to give back to my community but struggled to find the best way to make it happen. Then it hit me. I have a background in radio as an on-air personality and have always wanted to get back into it somehow. That’s when I decided to start the podcast. I already have the experience, the equipment, and now the content, so why not!?”-Dustin Lee

Regardless of the type or severity of addiction, Dustin’s podcast serves as a lifeline for individuals seeking solace and understanding in their battle against substance abuse. With unwavering honesty and vulnerability, he opens up about his own struggles, offering listeners a glimpse into the highs and lows of the recovery process. But perhaps most importantly, he amplifies the voices of others, sharing their stories of resilience and redemption in the face of addiction.

“Since I started the podcast, a number of people have reached out and shared their stories with me. Some of them I know, and some I don’t. I’ve also had others reach out with questions and even let me know that my message helped them make the decision to seek treatment or choose a sober life.” -Dustin Lee

In a society that often stigmatizes addiction, the Sober Twin Cities Podcast offers a refreshing perspective, emphasizing compassion, empathy, and the power of community in the journey toward healing. By shedding light on the complexities of addiction and recovery, Dustin is fostering understanding and empowering listeners to embrace their own path toward sobriety with courage and conviction.

As the podcast continues to gain traction and reach a wider audience, Dustin’s mission remains steadfast: to provide a safe and inclusive space where individuals from all walks of life can find support, inspiration, and hope on their journey toward sobriety. In a world where the shadows of addiction loom large, the Sober Twin Cities Podcast stands as a beacon of light, guiding listeners toward a brighter, healthier future.

“I’m always open for conversation or a heads up on something cool going on with sobriety in mind. The same goes for featured guests. If you or someone you know has an idea for the next guest on the show, don’t hesitate to reach out.” -Dustin Lee
