Alright, my sober darlings—grab your B-7000 glue, those glittery rhinestone kits, and that HomeGoods candle because we’re about to take your DIY game to an all-new level of sparkle. Welcome to my world: the Home Edit of rhinestones, where “diamond painting” meets “upcycled HomeGoods treasures.” Is that a thing? It is now!
You’ve heard me rave about diamond painting—yes, from those mini Taylor Swift Funko Pops to giving my BIG BOOK the full bedazzled treatment. Like any good little addict, I’m all about taking things a tad too far. Let’s just say I’m always one sequin away from a total crafting meltdown.

It all started with these diamond art coasters I snagged on Amazon—cute, cheap, and the perfect little side hustle while you’re deep into a Traitors marathon with your parents. (Oh, that’s just me? Wild weekends over here, folks. WILD.) But then—oh then—it evolved.
The Bedazzling Evolution
Enter: the $5 glass gummy bear from Michael’s. My plan? Full coverage, baby! My attention span? Let’s just say I decided to let those rhinestones “artistically” drip down his gummy belly and back. (aka I got a little bored and wanted to move on to another project) But hey – it’s a modern masterpiece, no? Maybe I’ll go back and finish it. Maybe.

Then came the epiphany—what if I took my bedazzle addiction to existing wall art?
You see, I have an unhealthy obsession with HomeGoods. Specifically, their candles and wall art—though let’s be real, I can’t resist anything in that store. And sure, my walls are already brimming with stuff, but will that stop me? Never! Shopping is my cardio!
So, when I stumbled on this $12 tiger wall art, a $7 globe, and a $25 Mickey Mouse canvas—my creative brain went full sparkle mode. Forget diamond painting’s color-by-number vibes; I was making my own rules. I decided exactly which color gem went where, turning these humble pieces into rhinestone-studded glory.
Rhinestone Revolution
Before I knew it, I was $100 deep at Hobby Lobby—living my best bulk-shopping life—and ordering a 12-pack of E7000 glue from Amazon, because sniffing glue is my Memorial Day weekend tradition. (Okay, not really sniffing, but the house did get that certain gluey aroma. HomeGoods candles to the rescue!)
And would you look at them? Not too shabby if I do say so myself! Now, I’m not launching an Etsy empire anytime soon, but I’m having the best time. Crafting is my little island of control in a world that’s… well, chaotic. When everything else feels wild, I can always count on glue and gems to ground me.

Bigger, Bolder, Bedazzlier!
Feeling like the sparkle queen I am, I needed a bigger challenge. Enter: a $69 oversized graffiti love art piece from HomeGoods. Yup, she was my next victim. While gluing gems to my heart’s delight, I binged Sirens, Motorheads, Feel Good, and The Better Sister—because nothing goes better with rhinestone therapy than storylines infused with addiction, sobriety, and mental health. My curated archiving passion, thank you very much. Be sure to check out The Mindful Binge and Movie Night sections and let your fingers go for a scroll through our reviews archives.

And ta-da! She’s almost done, and I couldn’t be happier. You can’t tell by the photos, but this baby is 4 feet tall! I’ve learned so much along the way—mostly that my Boston Terrier Bella is now sporting some accidental sparkle, too. Don’t worry, I’ll drop links to all my fave supplies below so you can join my sparkle posse.
So here’s your invitation: come razzle, dazzle, and bedazzle with me! Let’s turn your HomeGoods haul into the sparkliest upcycled treasures you’ve ever seen. If you make anything, please make sure to tag me on IG (the only place I get my news), so I can see your delightful creations.
Happy crafting, sparkle babes!
