Breakfast Dark From Bravus Brewing Is A Delight

Our friends at Bravus Brewing join us again! This time with another dark delight. As you have heard me say time and time again, I love Bravus Brewing for their stouts. They do them very well and it’s a nice refreshing flavor feast from the norm. This week is their latest in a line of tasty dark beers.

We’re drinking Breakfast Dark from Bravus Brewing this week, a stout that sports coffee, cinnamon, and chocolate right on the label. This label isn’t wrong either, for when you snap that aluminum lid open, you can smell the freshly brewed coffee and get a fun dessert mixture of cinnamon and chocolate aromas in your nose.

How Does It Pour?

Bravus Brewing is great at continuing the aroma adventure as the beer pours into your glass a dark brown color, reminiscent a little more of a porter, but still releasing the aromatic notes, popping one by one with each bubble of the caramel head.

How Does It Taste?

As far as flavor, Breakfast Dark has it. On first taste I thought Bravus Brewing did a great job of balancing the flavors out, with nothing overpowering anything else. A good balance of the chocolate, cinnamon, and coffee. Then, I kept drinking and I think what you end up getting more of is a delicious cinnamon coffee stout. Those two notes pop out more than anything else and it’s making me want some French toast and morning cuddles. Yeah, I said it.

Untappd gives this bad boy a 3.4 out of 5, which isn’t too shabby for an NA stout on that site! I would rate it as Bravus Brewing’s third-best stout, right after their Gravitas barrel-aged stout and their peanut butter stout. Like I said in the beginning, Bravus does it right in the stout department, and Breakfast Dark is no exception to that rule. Grab some today!
