What’s even better than a perfect Cheeto? It’s this banging ass brewery from Sausalito! Best Day Brewing joins us once again with another selection in their album of consistent bangers. This California-based brewing is aiming to take Athletic out of the top spot with its killer selection and the fact that they are seemingly unable to fail at making great beers, including my favorite double IPA, Galaxy Ripple. I couldn’t have been more excited when I heard they had a new brew.
This week we are drinking Nature Pils by Best Day Brewing. I cannot tell you how nice it is to see another NA craft brewery put out a pilsner. Not since Untitled Art’s Italian Pilsner have I seen something in the NA space. A pilsner is your classic beer. Light, golden, balanced, with that roasted mouth feel that is reminiscent of classic German beers and crisp British classic.
Upon the first crack, Nature Pils presents the aroma of roasted malts, which quickly tickle my nostril strings and make my mouth water. The beer pours a light golden color, perfectly matching the style. I’d say I’m surprised that Best Day Brewing has matched this style so perfectly, but that feels redundant at this point.
At the risk of blowing your mind, I will tell you that the flavor is freaky and full and fends for itself. The classic Pilsner flavor comes immediately into your mouth with balance and a full mouth feel. The light, crisp finish leaves you wanting more, but so does the overall flavor of Nature Pils. It’s crushable but also worth taking a little at a time and enjoying. Full flavor on all the corners of your speaker hole.

Untappd gives Nature Pils by Best Day Brewing a 3.7 out of 5, but I am popping it up to a 4.5 because I love it. This is for sure the top of its category in the NA space. Sorry, Untitled Art, but this is definitely knocking you out of place. If you are a fellow brewery and you are reading this. Take the challenge and make a good pilsner. All of us sober folks are just waiting to gobble it up!
