Sober & Standing (Up!)
Sober & Standing (Up!)
Sober & Standing (Up!) brings laughter, resilience, and community together in support of recovery while helping break the stigma around substance use. It also raises funds to expand access to critical treatment for underserved and uninsured individuals and families, many of whom might otherwise be left behind.
Taking place at this historic El Rey Theatre on Saturday, April 25, the evening features Alonzo Bodden, Frankie Quinones, Ally Weinhold, and the cast of the Sober Show – Improv, all comedians in recovery. Their performances are shaped by hard-earned lived experience, turning struggle into humor that is fearless, personal, and full of heart. Nearly 300 people are expected to attend, many of them either directly connected to recovery or affected by addiction through someone they know or love.
The third annual Sober & Standing (Up!) is presented by Phoenix Houses of California, one of the state’s leading substance use disorder treatment organizations serving more than 37,000 youth, adults, and families across Southern California each year.
