Connect Recovery Retreat

Connect Recovery Retreat
Connect offers an opportunity to deepen your recovery experience in one of the Caribbean’s most beautiful settings—the remote island of St John is 2/3 US National Park. This retreat brings together no more than 12 people in established recovery (2+ years) for six days of reflection, exploration, and connection at Concordia Eco Resort. Mornings are devoted to engaging workshops covering emotional sobriety, spirituality, mindfulness, and the opportunities and challenges of long-term recovery. Afternoons offer optional guided adventures, from snorkeling vibrant coral reefs to hiking spectacular coastal trails, along with time to relax and enjoy the island. The small-group setting encourages meaningful conversations, new friendships, and the sharing of experiences and perspectives that enrich our recovery journeys.
Connect grew out of my own experiences attending and organizing recovery retreats and activities, my years of working in and living in the recovery community, and my love of St. John. I wanted to create an experience that brings together the things I’ve found most valuable about retreats: thoughtful explorations of recovery, genuine human connection, and the perspectives that come from stepping outside our everyday lives. At its heart, Connect is about continuing to find growth in recovery while sharing an unforgettable experience together.
Kevin Langton has dedicated more than two decades to helping people recover, rebuild, and rediscover meaningful lives, something he has done with his own recovery. As a treatment director, educator, recovery advocate, and longtime leader in the recovery community, he has spent his career walking alongside individuals and families through some of life’s most rewarding and difficult moments. As the executive director of an early recovery community organization, he has been a pioneer for the recovery advocacy movement. A lifelong student of spirituality and human growth, Kevin is fascinated by those places where recovery, adventure, mindfulness, and personal transformation intersect. Throughout his life, Kevin has cultivated a rare ability to help people feel both deeply accepted and gently challenged, and people often leave his retreats with a greater sense of hope, perspective, and confidence in their own capacity to grow. He is a frequent visitor to St. John. Sober date June 26, 2006.
