BACKSTAGE With Megan A. Schikora, Author of A Woman in Pink
Some love stories deserve a standing ovation. Others deserve a serious conversation about boundaries.
On Nov. 12, author Megan A. Schikora joins BACKSTAGE with The Sober Curator for a live virtual conversation about A Woman in Pink, a novel that asks what happens when loving someone else means slowly losing yourself.
Recently reviewed by Anne Marie Cribbin and awarded 4.5 out of 5 Sobees, the book follows an unnamed narrator through 15 years of loving Dutch, a man whose addiction reshapes their life together. Think Johnny-and-June romantic mythology, with some uncomfortable questions about what being someone’s June actually costs.
We’re taking that conversation off the page and into BACKSTAGE. Love, loyalty, recovery and the stories we tell ourselves about saving someone all belong on the table.
For anyone who has ever confused being needed with being loved, this one might hit close to home.
