    DopeyCon Six

Ten years. Countless stories. Too many laughs to track. And more dumb sh*t than anyone can reasonably measure.

Welcome to DopeyCon Six—the annual gathering of the Dopey Nation, where recovery gets real, comedy cuts deep, and everyone knows the difference between clean time and screen time.

On Saturday, October 4, Dopey host David Manheim will take the stage at the Church of the Holy Apostles in NYC to celebrate a full decade of the podcast that has made addiction, recovery, and ridiculousness its permanent brand.

And because this is Dopey, the evening won’t just be a show—it’s a three-and-a-half-hour collision of comedy, music, games, prizes, and stories that are as gut-punching as they are gut-busting. Oh, and the reception? Catered by the legendary Katz’s Delicatessen. (Because nothing says “serenity” like pastrami.)

    Katz’s Deli Catering

One of the highlights of DopeyCon SIX is the catering provided by the world-famous Katz’s Deli. Known for its legendary pastrami sandwiches and mouth-watering menu, Katz’s Deli will ensure you’re well-fed throughout the event. This is food worth staying sober for!

    The Host Behind the Magic

The Dopey podcast is hosted by David Manheim, who brings a unique combination of wit, wisdom, and raw honesty to each episode. His ability to blend humor with serious discussions about addiction makes the podcast entertaining and enlightening. At DopeyCon SIX, you’ll have the chance to meet David and other beloved figures from the show.

    ???? The Lineup

DopeyCon SIX will feature a lineup of special guests, including some of the podcast’s most memorable personalities. These guests will share their own stories and perspectives, adding depth and diversity to the event. Live musical performances will also be part of the festivities, providing a multi-sensory experience that goes beyond the spoken word.

This year’s roster is stacked harder than a Katz’s sandwich:

    • Hank Azaria (yes, that Hank Azaria)
    • Brandon Novak (Jackass wild card turned recovery advocate)
    • Sam Miller
    • Zac Clark (The Bachelorette meets sober AF)
    • Brace Belden
    • Erin Khar
    • Kimber King
    • Bob Forrest (Thelonious Monster, Dr. Drew’s OG partner-in-rehab)
    • Adam David
…and more surprises that will probably make you laugh, cry, or both at once.

    What is DopeyCon?

DopeyCon is a live podcast and fan convention centered around Dopey, the popular podcast focused on drug addiction and humorous yet insightful tales of recovery. Hosted by The Dopey Foundation, the event attracts attendees from all walks of life who share a common interest in sobriety and support. The event celebrates community, resilience, and the often humorous yet poignant stories shared on the Dopey podcast.

???? Why You’ll Hate Yourself If You Miss It

For a decade, Dopey has been the gritty, unfiltered voice of recovery culture. It’s where stories about overdoses, relapses, triumphs, and total disasters sit right alongside jokes so wrong you feel guilty for laughing. That’s the whole point: to tell the truth, even when it’s ugly—and to do it with humor that bites as hard as it heals.

DopeyCon Six isn’t a buttoned-up conference. It’s a party for people who get it. A reunion of the misfits, the miracle-makers, and everyone who has ever laughed their way through pain.

    Meeting Fellow Dopey Peeps

One of the most rewarding aspects of attending DopeyCon is the opportunity to connect with fellow fans. A reception will follow the event, so stick around! Whether you’ve been listening to the podcast from the beginning or are a recent convert, you’ll find a welcoming community ready to share their experiences and support. It’s a chance to form lasting friendships and gain new insights into your recovery journey.

    Practical Tips for First-Timers

If this is your first time attending DopeyCon, here are a few tips to help you make the most of your experience:

Arrive Early: Doors open at 5:00 PM, and the event starts at 5:30 PM. Arriving early will give you a chance to settle in and grab a good seat.

Bring a Notebook and Camera: You’ll want to jot down memorable moments, quotes, and any new friends’ contact information. The Dopes take a lot of photos of their new and old friends!

Merchandise will be available for purchase, and it is great stuff!

Follow @dopeypodcast on Instagram and Facebook to share your photos and stories from the event.
