Britny Lobas, an Austin-based pop rock powerhouse with roots in Cleveland, Ohio, is set to release the sober version of her emotionally charged track “Hollow” on Friday, April 12th. Her musical journey, marked by resilience and the pursuit of sobriety, has transformed her life and her art, culminating in a powerful anthem of rebirth and strength.

About Britny Lobas

Born into a musical family in Cleveland, Ohio, Britny’s early exposure to music set the stage for her own artistic endeavors. Despite the highs and lows of pursuing her musical dreams in Austin, Texas, her battle with alcohol addiction reached a critical point. The profound impact of addiction, including the loss of loved ones, led her to confront her own struggles.

In 2020, Britny embarked on a journey towards sobriety, which lasted nearly three months before a relapse. However, May 2022 marked a pivotal moment as she found herself in the depths of despair, leading to the creation of the song “Hollow.” This deeply personal composition reflected her internal turmoil and served as a plea for help in the face of her addiction. Tragically, a few weeks later, Britny found herself fighting for her life in the ICU, with uncertain prospects of survival. Miraculously, she emerged from this harrowing experience after 16 days, guided by a newfound sense of purpose.

Today, almost two years sober, Britny has revisited “Hollow,” re-recording it to align with her original vision, now offering a striking comparison between the two versions. Her personal transformation mirrors the evolution of the song, underscoring the profound impact of her sobriety on every aspect of her life. The sober version of “Hollow,” produced by Cole Burris, encapsulates Britny’s journey of resilience, representing an anthem of unyielding strength and triumph over adversity.

Britny Lobas’s musical style exudes self-empowerment, characterized by cinematic, soulful melodies that command attention. Drawing inspiration from icons like Amy Winehouse, Paramore, and Christina Aguilera, Britny’s ferocious vocal range and honest lyricism captivate audiences. Her high-energy live performances reflect her unwavering passion and authenticity, leaving a lasting impression on all who experience her artistry.

With accolades from publications such as EarMilk, KUTX, Clout, and Illustrate Magazine, Britny Lobas has established herself as a rising star in the music industry. Notably, she has shared the stage with renowned artists including Big Boi, LP, and Maggie Rose, solidifying her position as a force to be reckoned with in the pop rock scene.

Britny Lobas’s journey of sobriety, resilience, and musical reinvention serves as an inspiring testament to the transformative power of personal strength and determination. Through her music, she continues to inspire others to embrace their vulnerabilities, find their inner strength, and embark on their own journey of renewal and self-discovery.
