Fashion lovers, recovery warriors, and sober-curious style icons — mark those calendars and shine up your mocktail glasses, because the most meaningful runway of New York Fashion Week is strutting back into the spotlight.

Break Free’s Recovery Runway Show returns Thursday, February 12, 2026, and trust me when I say: this is not your average fashion show. This is couture with a cause. Glamour with grit. Sequins with soul.
Because at Break Free, we don’t just walk the runway — we walk our talk.
Where Fashion Meets Recovery — Literally
New York Fashion Week Powered by Break Free is rewriting the script on what it means to be seen, celebrated, and stylish in the recovery community.
While the fashion world races to predict the next season’s trends, Break Free is leading a much more important conversation: mental health, substance use disorders, co-occurring disorders, and the brave, messy, beautiful truth of recovery.
Every season, their runway becomes a stage for authenticity. Activists, influencers, and creators step forward — not just to show their designs, but to show their stories.
Because yes, darling:
There is life beyond recovery — and it looks fabulous.
Break Free defines “being in recovery” in a way that acknowledges what so many of us know to be true:
We’re all recovering from something.
Substance use. Co-occurring disorders. Sex and love addiction. Gambling. Self-harm. Disordered eating. Surviving suicide. Managing mental health.
This runway holds space for it all.

Meet the Designers: Style with Substance
LadyCat
Founded by indie designer Alexandra Nyman, LadyCat broke onto the scene in 2019 with their debut ready-to-wear line, “Therapy.”
Inspired by Nyman’s brother and his journey with bipolar II disorder, the collection was a rallying cry for mental health awareness. As Nyman shared, her brother remains “my driving force and main inspiration in all I do.”
“Therapy” quickly drew the attention of runway-ready advocates, including:
- Celebrity YouTuber Gabi DeMartino
- Singer + fashion blogger Naty Ashba
- Actress, model & singer Gabby Fe
- Disabilities activist Janira Oberlin
- Ms. Philippines 2018 Christy-Anne Lopez
LadyCat isn’t just fashion — it’s advocacy stitched straight into the seams.
REHAB
Born in NYC and steeped in both the chaos and clarity of addiction and recovery, REHAB designs for the real ones.
The artists.
The outliers.
The beautifully complicated humans reclaiming their narrative.
A blend of streetwear grit and ready-to-wear polish, REHAB’s pieces embrace individuality and reject anonymity. Their work honors the full arc of the journey — the highs, the lows, and the powerful rebirth that recovery brings.
Open Mind Apparel (OMACUSTOMS)
One-of-one custom pieces. Fierce. Exclusive. No duplicates — ever.
Established in 2022, but dreamed up decades earlier, OMACUSTOMS was created for those who refuse to fit the mold. Their mantra says it all: Open Mind and Stand Out.
