Kate has been an RN in the Pacific Northwest for over 20 years. After getting sober she shifted her nursing career towards mental health and dug in hard into the recovery space. She is board certified in psychiatric, mental-health nursing and pursuing her board certification in addiction nursing. Kate works countless hours as the Director of Nursing of an inpatient behavioral health recovery facility. However, she never steps foot inside the locked hallways of her workplace without walking the talk.
Sober with Style – Kate knows how to Walk Her Talk
Kate gets creative every morning curating a look from her “cloffice” that says capable, confident, and stylish AF. She converted an extra bedroom in her home into an oversized closet because she wanted a space for all things fabulous. This includes an impressive perfume collection, boxes of jewelry and accessories, shoes, hats, and clothing sectioned off by occasion. After getting sober Kate examined the real reasons she was drawn to the nightlife. She realized it was to see and be seen. She wants other women and men to cultivate a sense of style or maintain a love for fashion while rocking the look in sober spaces. Her mission was to prove to herself that sobriety could be so much more stylish than drunk.

She lives in Olympia, WA with her husband Phillip and their fur babes. (A rescue dog named Marley and a giant obnoxious kitty named Chewbacca.) Her family is a lover of all things Star Wars. She is a proud stepmom of 3 handsome boys who live out of state yet visit frequently. She can be found in downtown Olympia wearing excessive jewelry at a coffee shop or digging through 2nd hand stores for vintage treasures. Kate loves the concept of upcycling clothing and often purchases gently used handbags, clothing, and accessories on sites such as Thred-Up, Tradsey, or Poshmark.
