October 1 - October 31

Youth Substance Abuse Prevention Month
October is recognized as National Youth Substance Use Prevention Month (and National Substance Use Prevention Month) in the United States, a time dedicated to increasing awareness of the dangers of substance abuse and highlighting the importance of prevention, especially for young people. Established by presidential proclamation in 2011, this month aims to support healthy development, strengthen protective factors, and provide resources for families, educators, and communities.
