We’re poppin’ bottles (of non-alcoholic bubbly, of course) because The Sober Curator just brought home some serious hardware from the 31st Annual Communicator Awards—and we’re over the moon to share the news with YOU, our incredible sober community.

We’ve been recognized in not one, not two, but THREE categories:
🏆 EXCELLENCE in Website General – Causes & Awareness
🥈 DISTINCTION in Website General – Publishing
🥈 DISTINCTION in Website General – Community
That’s right, friends. We’re being celebrated for the heart and hustle we pour into showcasing that a sober life is anything but boring. And while these shiny accolades make us feel warm and fuzzy inside, they don’t belong to us alone.

What Are the Communicator Awards?
The Communicator Awards are no small potatoes. They’re one of the leading international programs honoring excellence, innovation, and effectiveness across all areas of communication—from marketing and digital media to branded content and beyond. This year, the awards celebrate the theme “Communication is Connection,” spotlighting how impactful storytelling can build bridges, foster understanding, and unite people.
And who decides who takes home the hardware? The Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts (AIVA), an exclusive, invitation-only group of top-tier professionals from some of the world’s most respected creative powerhouses, sanctioned and judged the awards. Think Sony, Netflix, McCann, American Express, Discovery, Digitas, R/GA, and more. So yeah, let’s say we’re honored, humbled, and doing a little victory dance right now.
First, to Our Sober Curator Contributors:
You are the lifeblood of this platform. Whether you’ve penned one article or fifty, poured your heart out in a personal story on and off the mic, or helped amplify sober pop culture from behind the scenes, this win is yours too. Your voices matter, your stories matter, and together we’re rewriting and archiving what sobriety and recovery look like in today’s world.
To Our Parent Company, WORKP2P:
Thank you for believing in the power of storytelling and supporting our mission from day one. Your commitment to people-first platforms makes all of this possible.
Meet Our Behind-the-Scenes Dream Team:
💻 Alexandra Nyman, our powerhouse Publisher, keeps us on point and on purpose. Plus, she is the mastermind behind all those amazing Memes and GIFs in The Sober Sip newsletters.
📝 Libby Sundgren, our very own Grammar Police, Marketing Maven & Events Extraordinaire, polishes every piece with love (and a red pen). Also, Libby is my ride or die, work wife for life, and one of the bestest sober allies I’ve ever had.
🎥 Tamar Routly, Production Wizard, brings calm to the chaos and helps us keep the engine running smoothly. Sober Curator Fun fact! On the FIRST day Tamar and I met IRL (in real life), we got matching Wonder Woman tattoos. #wykyk
I see you. I appreciate you. And I literally couldn’t do it without you.
And the BIGGEST Thank You Goes To…
YOU. Our readers. Our followers. Our fellow sober warriors.
Your likes, shares, comments, emails, and DMs remind us why we do this. You show up, you speak up, and you prove every single day that sobriety is vibrant, creative, connected—and yes, a little bit classy with a side of sass. Because of you, we get to say loud and proud:
A sober life is not a boring life.
Together, we are changing the narrative. One story, one laugh, one real talk moment at a time. And that, dear friends, is the real award. Getting sober matters. Staying sober matters more.
With gratitude, glitter, & grit,
Alysse Bryson ✨(Founder/CEO The Sober Curator)

In the post-pandemic era, we continue to grow and thrive. By sharing our stories, recovering out loud, and curating original content for the recovery community, we believe we are building the ultimate recovery lifestyle resource for those who have already decided to live a sober lifestyle. Getting sober matters. Staying sober matters more.
We have over 400+ years of long-term consistent recovery between us. *no days off
