About the Washington Recovery Alliance:
At the Washington Recovery Alliance (WRA), we are dedicated to building a community where individuals impacted by substance use and mental health challenges can thrive in recovery. Led by and for people with lived experience, we unite diverse voices to drive policy changes, reduce stigma, and ensure that recovery resources are accessible to all. Our work is informed by the experiences and needs of communities across Washington State, allowing us to advocate for meaningful, community-driven change. For over a decade, WRA has been a trusted partner to organizations, families, and individuals, empowering those on their recovery journeys.

About the King County Recovery Coalition:
Who We Are:
The King County Recovery Coalition (KCRC) is a regional coalition of the Washington Recovery Alliance. We advance substance use recovery and mental wellness by changing public understanding of behavioral health conditions and advocating for pro-recovery policies in King County. We mobilize people like you to drive change in behavioral health public policy – because we do recover, and we are the proof.
What We Do:
We mobilize people like you to raise awareness, change misconceptions, and drive change in behavioral health public policy – because we do recover, and we are the proof.
How we do it: KCRC hosts community events that bring the lived experiences of people in recovery straight to decision makers. We promote pro-recovery media stories that foster public understanding of behavioral health, teach people how to tell their own stories of recovery, and create connections among individuals and organizations that strengthen the recovery community as a whole. We host guest speakers on topics ranging from recovery coaching to the role of local government in behavioral health systems, because information is a powerful tool for grassroots advocacy. Last but not least, we celebrate recovery, together.
When you join the movement with KCRC, you’ll have the opportunity to network, strengthen your community, use your recovery experience to help others, and provide valuable real-life input to people who make policy decisions that impact us.
