#QUITLIT: Jessica Simpson Reveals For The First Time Her Inner Monologue And Most Intimate Struggles In Her Memoir “Open Book”

Jessica Simpson reveals for the first time her inner monologue and most intimate struggles in her memoir, “Open Book.” Guided by journals she has kept since she was 15, this book is as inspiring as it is entertaining. As a bonus, if you get it on Audiobook, it will come with 6 exclusive new songs. Open Book is an opportunity to laugh and cry with her as if she were a close friend. Her story will inspire you to live your best, most authentic life.

Unless you’ve lived under a rock, you are probably familiar with this blonde dynamo. Jessica Simpson is an American singer, actress, fashion designer, and author. Born in July of 1980, it’s incredible to see everything she has conquered in the last 40 years. That said, her life hasn’t been all rainbows and butterflies. Growing up in Texas in the 80s, Jessica was sexually abused by the daughter of a family friend.

    Chicken or fish?

Jessica was originally best known for her musical talent and success in the late 90s and early 00s with many Billboard Hit songs. If that wasn’t enough to put her on the map, her marriage to Nick Lachey, previously a member of 98 Degrees, most certainly did. Their unforgettable reality TV show followed the couple during the honeymoon phase and captured intimate and often hilarious moments like the one you see below.

She’s so much more than a blonde with a pretty face

Along the way, Jessica details the struggles in her life, such as the pressure to support her family as a teenager and divorcing Lachey. She goes into great detail about enduring what she describes as an emotionally abusive relationship with musician John Mayer. Jessica speaks openly about being body-shamed in the celebrity industry and going through bouts of heavy (heavy) drinking.

Although Simpson’s alcohol consumption reached frightening levels after years of anxiety, in 2017, she got sober. To support her, her husband, Eric Johnson (with whom she has three children), also stopped drinking. Love or hate her, there is no denying that this blonde bombshell has achieved many great things in the first half of her lifetime, including overcoming giant skeletons from her closet. And she faced them publicly.

    Did someone say closet?

What doesn’t this girl merchandise and sell? I’d happily take an hour in her closet to poke around and see some of her favorite brands. Checking out Jessica’s website, you will see that she sells shoes, clothing, accessories, luggage, perfume, home décor, and more.

Naturally, I went ahead and curated some of my favorite items that she is currently peddling, in case you are in the mood to #ADDTOCART.
