The Sober Curator

YANA is an online community that makes finding a path to healthy living easy to start, simple to understand, and with recovery on your terms

YANA, which stands for You Are Not Alone, is the only social network built for recovery. It’s a new kind of sober and we at The Sober Curator are here for it! YANA makes finding a path to healthy living easy to start, simple to understand, and with recovery on your terms. Think of it as a Facebook for people in recovery. But, without all of that other crap that makes you not want to log onto Facebook.

The Sober Curator Co-Founders, Alysse B., and Lisa C. have been on YANA for a few months now. We thought it would be a good idea to take this new platform for a test drive before sharing it with our readers. While the group of users is currently small, the founders of YANA have been very intentional about that. There is a screening process to even get onto the platform and we support that 100%.

Tired of Facebook?

Have you tired of the sober and recovery Facebook groups full of people posting daily how much they want to drink but offering up nothing about the solutions to be found in recovery? Then YANA is the place for you.

Are you baffled by the sober influencers on Instagram that have a few minutes sober with thousands and thousands of followers, but no real message of substance on how to achieve sobriety consistently for the long term? Then YANA is the place for you.

Are you looking for a community that lives in the solution? Then YANA is the place for you. What are you waiting for? YANA is a place for the newcomer, the oldtimer, and the sober curious. It’s the online sober place to be!

Here is a list of reasons we personally enjoy YANA:

How YANA defines a new kind of sober:

Don’t just take our words for it. Here’s what others are saying about YANA:

“I was looking for a place to interact, connect, and share my Recovery journey. YANA gives be the space I need to share my journey without judgment.”

-Daniel G.

“Love the YANA platform. There is a true sense of an organically formed community, where the founders are sitting right there in the trenches with us. There is so much hope here, and I am inspired on a daily basis by this app who’s sole mission is to help others achieve sobriety and get support. I cannot express my gratitude enough.”

-Jane S.

“YANA helps me maintain my constant contact by putting the familiar trust of a close-knit home group at my fingertips, no matter the time or place. Besides my in-person relationships (sponsors and live groups), YANA has been the most useful tool in my recovery kit with so many traditional and non-traditional resources. But most important, the relationships built in this community are the closest thing I’ve encountered to actually being there face-to-face.”

– KJ L.

“I was skeptical at first. Is this just going to be another social platform I have to check on regularly? But as time went on, I noticed I started logging in more frequently, connecting with other YANA members, and making new friends. Plus, to be honest, some days I need my social feed to be 100% about sobriety and YANA makes that happen.”

-Alysse B.
