Two Roots Brewing Seasonal Release Of Oktoberfest Is Happiness In A Can

This week, we’ll be drinking from our friends at Two Roots Brewing. Seeing a seasonal release like Oktoberfest appear at not one or two breweries, but many across the country is a huge sign for non-alcoholic beer. Previously, you did not see these things due to the lack of market share versus the amount of product that has to be made for a seasonal launch. It’s truly remarkable and speaks volumes for the sober movement and the options available to those that either doesn’t drink or are looking to drink less.

Two Roots Brewing, operating out of California, but with production and distribution facilities set up in Auburn Hills, Michigan, was the first Oktoberfest to arrive on my doorstep and I could not be happier with the result of this time-honored traditional celebration beer.

How Does it Pour?

The pour, this time into a frosty mug if you’re wondering, brings that rich amber color you would expect from a Marzen-style beer, brewed in the classic fashion of Oktoberfest. The beer has a frothy head with an off-white color and Two Roots Brewing nailed the scents with a combination of malts and spices hitting your nose as soon as the can snaps.

How Does it Taste?

The flavor matches the frothy appearance and you are not disappointed. As soon as Two Roots Brewing’s Oktoberfest hits your mouth, it seems like it’s almost welcomed in, filling each section of your mouth with bready notes of malt and light spice. It’s filling, but not resistant to being knocked back one after another, though I recommend savoring a couple, as this one has got the taste!

Untapped

As a brand new seasonal release, I didn’t know if Two Roots Brewing would have their Oktoberfest up on Untappd yet, but they do and it has got a 3.8 out of 5! That may be the highest score I’ve seen on a beer! They really do hit the nail on the head in terms of mouthfeel, flavor, and nose. I could not be happier with my purchase of 12 of these and I assure you they will all be enjoyed, some quicker than others! Prost!
