Grainwave By Ceria Brewing Company Is A Belgian-Style White Ale

Ceria joins us for their sophomore interview. Ceria Brewing Company is out of Colorado and only offers two non-alcoholic beers in its store. With this in mind, my expectation is that they are both awesome…or they are both horrible and just killing their inventory. Still, considering they have changed their can designs since our last review (see Indiewave IPA), it seems they are here to stay, so let’s see what their second beer is.

This week we are drinking Grainwave from Ceria Brewing Company. I thought it was pronounced SEE-REE-UH, but apparently, it rhymes with the word ‘area.’ I’m dumb, and that’s Greek. I am moving on. Grainwave is a Belgian-style white ale. The anticipation for this is hearty, containing orange peel and the mysterious spice coriander. Upon the first crack of the can, you can smell exactly what they’re working with. Aromas of coriander and citrus fill the air and pop into your nostrils with each bubble that bursts.

Ceria Brewing Company matches their style in color almost exactly. A pale yellow with a good amount of cloudiness and a crisp white head is ready to greet your talking hole. The aroma of coriander continues to permeate, and when it hits your mouth, a special balance finds its way into your taste buds and down your sex gullet. The sweet citrus walks a fine line almost perfectly balanced by the coriander. A floral flavor that opens up the taste buds and leaves you curious for more. This is one I have been sleeping on, but no more. You win, Ceria.

Untappd gives Grainwave by Ceria Brewing Company provides this brew with a 3.2 out of 5. I may have started there, but the more I drank it, the more I wanted it. I’m not sure where you can get these brews other than the website, but if you see them, buy them and try them, do not deny them. Sex ya later, alligator.
