Bill has been sober since April 18, 2010, but that wasn’t by choice, it was by necessity. After almost drinking himself into an early grave, he was taken to detox and then to The Ed Keating Center in Cleveland, OH.

At 41 years old, he was introduced to recovery, a 12 Step program and was shown how to live as a sober human being. He also formed an unlikely friendship with a guy named Mike, who has become his friend, brother and ultimately his fellow podcast host.

Coming out of the pandemic, as the virtual meetings were slowly dwindling, Bill felt a void in his recovery and started listening to recovery podcasts every day on his drive home from work. In November, 2021, Bill was telling Mike about the podcasts and said, “Hey, we could do that. Talk a bunch of trash into microphones, right?”

After a few months of procrastinating, on February 27, 2022, the podcast Sober Not Mature was born. Just a couple of guys talking about recovery every Friday night and as it turns out, people seem to enjoy it and we have a lot of fun doing it.

On a professional level, Bill has done sales, training, managed people and has a passion for writing. He just started on the path of sober coaching and has been pursuing that as a sideline venture.

He is perpetually single, has 2 adult children (Kimberlee and Derik) and he became a grandpa in March 2022. He still calls Milwaukee home but has the desire to work remotely and travel the country, soaking up new people, places and things.
