Wellbeing Brewing & 4Hands Brewing Limited Edition Collab Called Liquid Rain

WellBeing Brewing is one of my favorites and the makers of such classically reviewed beers as Intentional IPA, and Hellraiser Dark Amber. And Wandering Islands comes to join us again with a collaboration beer that is sure to knock your socks off and make you wonder what else they may be hiding down in St. Louis, where they are brewed and born.

This week, we are drinking Liquid Rain by WellBeing Brewing. This is a collaboration brew with 4Hands Brewing and it’s a deliciously fruity IPA. This limited-edition brew promises to capture most hopheads’ attention with El Dorado hops and a sweet disposition.

How Does It Pour?

Liquid Rain pours the way you would hope a west coast IPA or Hazy IPA would, with rich golden color and a slightly off-white head. Fruity hoppy aromas dance off the bubbles as they pop and settle at the top of the glass. While I had a bad luck stint with a few overly carbonated cans, this time around, the pour was a perfect balance of bubbles, beer, and balls. WellBeing Brewing hit the nail on the head.

How Does It Taste?

When the beer snaps your tongue with flavorful flapjacks, you can get a real taste sensation and perhaps even overwhelmed. WellBeing Brewing puts so much into this flavor profile, that it feels like all of your tongue zones are activated. There is the sweet tropical fruit flavor, the saltiness of something I can’t quite put my finger on, and the delicious coating of El Dorado hops that sit on the back of your tongue to remind you this is an IPA.

Untappd gives Liquid Rain from WellBeing Brewing a 3.6 out of 5 and I have to agree. It’s a great collaboration and it goes to a good cause, as each can gives back to mental health organizations and, much like other philanthropic ventures of WellBeing Brewing, there is a QR code right on the can that people can scan to find mental health resources near them. Good beer, good cause, good night!
