The Sober Curator

Welcome to The Sober Curator’s New Sober Sports Page!

Hey there, sports enthusiasts, and sober champions! Welcome to our revamped corner of the internet where we’re shaking things up and blending sports with sobriety. What? Sports? Here? Isn’t this supposed to be a site about #Quit-Lit, sober fashionistas, mocktails, and other stuff that is so not sports?

Sports play a vital role in many of our lives, even during sobriety. We don’t hang up our cleats, stop cheering, or turn off the game when we embrace a sober lifestyle. Just like we don’t stop going to concerts, reading, or creating. Instead, we celebrate how sobriety adds a whole new level of awesomeness to our sports-loving lives! But being sober changes how we act and react in sports and life.

That’s what this space is about – how does sobriety, or the lack of it, affect our sports-loving lives?

We’ll talk about how we manage sobriety in settings that are definitely not sober, like at a professional baseball game. Do you want to know what’s going on with your favorite sober athletes? We’ve got that too. Over time, we hope to interview a few of them as well. If we hear of sober sporting events happening, we’ll plug them when we can. We may even have live sports-watching events; Sober Super Bowl Party, anyone?

At some point, I’ll talk about my sober story; it involves trivia and the Milwaukee Bucks…seriously.

However, this wouldn’t be a sports column without opening things up for debate. One of the first columns written with my Sober Curator colleague Phillip Vitela will be the top 30 sober athletes ever. Of course, we won’t shy away from a little friendly competition., which means we want to hear from YOU! Tell us why your athlete is better than ours. Or why cannabis should be a banned substance in the NBA. If you have an amazing bean dip recipe for your Sober Super Bowl Party, share it. Give us ideas on how we can use sports to keep sober! Phillip and I want to create a community of sober sports fans and we can’t do that without your participation. Reach out to us at thesobercurator@gmail.com.

So, buckle up, dear readers, because this will be a wild ride filled with camaraderie, sports, and the joys of living a sober life. We’re here to create a safe haven for all you sports-loving sobriety champions, and we can’t wait to embark on this journey with you! Let’s make this community one for the ages, united by our love for sports and our commitment to a life filled with joy, support, and sobriety!

Game on!
