Chris Johnson Story Hour: From Survival to Thriving -Rediscovering Life Through Sobriety and the Outdoors
April 17 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm PDT
Free
This month, we’re thrilled to feature Chris Johnson, a South Dakota native, lifelong adventurer, and proud advocate of living fully—and sober. With 7 years of sobriety, Chris’s story is one of resilience, discovery, and a deep love for the great outdoors.
Chris has spent his life immersed in the wild—growing up with skates on his feet, a fishing rod in hand, and the mountains in his heart. From hockey rinks and hunting grounds to cycling trails, ski slopes, and snow-covered peaks, the outdoors has always been his playground and his sanctuary.
But like many of us, Chris faced struggles that took him off course. Through the power of treatment and the 12 Steps of AA, he found his way back—not just to sobriety but to a life worth living. Now, Chris doesn’t just survive; he thrives. He’s discovered what it means to truly live, combining his passion for the mountains and recovery into a powerful mission to inspire and guide others.
