Founder/CEO, The Sober Curator – Seattle, Washington, USA
VP of Community Development WORKP2P
Recovery Advocate & Mental Health Activist

Alysse Bryson is a strong woman in recovery, an innovative media maven, marketing guru, and gal about town. This sober gal has a humorous outlook on life combined with a fierce determination to succeed.
What’s her street cred?
Over her lengthy career in traditional media, Alysse was the Publisher of Seattle Met magazine, Seattle’s largest lifestyle publication. She lived the magazine life for nearly a decade, rubbing elbows with local celebrities and throwing some of the most talked about parties all over town. Alysse turned in her stilettos, swamped out magazines for live Television, and served as the Director of Business Development for KING 5 Media Group, the local NBC affiliate, for almost six years. Her second title around the office was “Director of Fun.”
One pandemic and a Great Resignation later, Alysse now serves as the Vice President of Community Development for WORKP2P, formerly Point to Point Transportation. The legacy business inside of WORKP2P provides innovative, technology-based transportation & logistics to marketing professionals who demand perfection. They service any size shipment for any size marketing program anywhere and work with some of the BIGGEST brands on the planet.
Stop her before she “start-ups” again! Alysse also has fingerprints on several start-up ventures under the WORKP2P parent company umbrella. This includes the BEATS WORKING Show, which will launch Season Two in early 2025 – Winning the Game of Events, hosted by Alysse and her trusty sidekick Libby Sundgren. Additionally, The Sober Curator (Alysse’s pandemic baby) is part of the WORKP2P family. You can think of WORKP2P as a nontraditional media agency focused on transforming leaders who want to develop their communities by redeeming work…the word, the place, and the way. Want to learn more about our training programs? Visit the WORKP2P website or The Intentional Course, an ongoing virtual training for those looking to make a bigger impact in their daily lives.
Active Recovery and Volunteer Work
Alysse is a very active advocate for recovery. She’s been on the board for the Recovery Cafe and the Friends of the Recovery Cafe Network for over six years. Stop her before she volunteers again! Alysse also volunteers with the Break Free Foundation, King County Recovery Coalition, and the Washington Recovery Alliance.
Getting Personal
Alysse is proud of her Pacific Northwest roots and 18+ years of sobriety, one day at a time since 5.01.2006. She is a single mom to her adult son, Jakob (28), and their Boston Terrier, Bella. When she’s not stuck behind a computer screen, Alysse enjoys traveling and spending time with her friends and family. Alysse loves hunting for street art and usually has a camera in her hand. Consuming content is what she does best! She loves books, podcasts, art projects, and a good Netflix, Hulu, Apple TV binge.
Alysse is a gal on the go. You can find her frequenting art museums, theatres, concerts, thrift shopping, planning her next trip, and checking out new restaurants. With her excellent taste and sense of style, when Alysse gives you a recommendation, you know you can trust it. Alysse may be a retired black-out artist, but she’s also been known to throw some of the best parties in Seattle over the last two decades. Stay tuned; she will pull out her event clipboard for new projects in 2025!
All the Places
Alysse doesn’t shy away from sharing online content. You can find her in the typical social media spaces and digital places.
